Pilates is a full-body workout that focuses on deep, stabilizing muscles while also strengthening larger muscle groups. Classes emphasize the core—including the abdominals, lower back, hips, and glutes—while also targeting the legs, arms, shoulders, and postural muscles that support proper alignment and movement.
Pilates helps build long, balanced strength, improve mobility and flexibility, and activate muscles that are often underused in everyday life.
-
We use the original Joseph Pilates apparatus, including the Reformer, Exo Chair, and Tower. The Reformer provides adjustable resistance to support proper alignment, core strength, and flexibility. The Exo Chair and Tower (and reformer) are used in private and semi-private sessions to accommodate individual needs, support rehabilitation, and help clients deepen and advance their Pilates practice.

First, congratulations!!! Clients who are pregnant may participate in group Reformer classes during the first trimester if they have prior Pilates experience and a physician’s note on file. Private sessions are available and encouraged throughout pregnancy and are required after the first trimester.
We strongly support maintaining a Pilates practice during pregnancy, as the benefits can be incredibly supportive during this time. Because each body changes in unique ways, the safety of both mother and baby is our top priority. Our policy ensures that movement is appropriately tailored through individual instruction as pregnancy progresses.
Please contact the studio for further guidance and next steps.

We offer a variety of Reformer-based classes designed to support all experience levels and fitness goals. Reformer 1 is beginner-friendly and focuses on building a strong foundation through proper form and controlled movement. Reformer 2 is more advanced and ideal for those looking to challenge themselves with fewer breaks and more advanced movements. Jumpboard adds a low-impact cardio element to the Reformer for an energizing, joint-friendly workout. Sweat & Strength is a more athletic class that incorporates heavier spring resistance and continuous movement to build strength and endurance. Move & Stretch focuses on mobility, flexibility, and recovery, while Grow Gloots is a glute-focused class designed to strengthen and sculpt the lower body.

Our classes are 50-minute long classes!
-
Yes, we do! Private classes offer one on one instruction tailored to your individual needs, whether you are looking for personalized attention, refining your practice, or working around injuries or physical limitations. Semi-private classes provide the same customized experience in a small setting and are a great option for those easing into Pilates with a friend or family member.
Please email info@glootpilates.com after purchasing to schedule your session.
