Kiara at gloot Pilates

A little note from me

I wanted to build the studio I wished we had here.

Born and raised in Montebello, I got tired of Pilates always meaning a drive somewhere else. Between work, commuting, and rushing home just to make class, I kept thinking: why don’t we have this here?

So I got comprehensively certified and poured my heart into gloot — a neighborhood studio built around a method I fell in love with and movement that became medicine for me. Something personal, intentional, and rooted in the community that raised me, with good music and a welcoming atmosphere woven into the experience.

I’m at the forefront, my brother is behind the scenes, and every detail is ours. I hope you love it here — and that it feels a little like home.

xx, Kiara Alida

OUR PHILOSOPHY

intentional movement without the intimidation.

lift happens. only at gloot.

classical meets contemporary

Rooted in the 9 main Pilates principles: core, breath, alignment, precision + control + form, centering + balance + focus, stamina, relaxation, mind–body connection + concentration, and flow.

room to grow

Start where you are. You don’t have to know what you’re doing before you begin. That’s how you learn, build confidence, and get stronger.

good energy only

Elevated without the intimidation. We care about the details, but even more about making sure you feel welcome, supported, and like you belong here.
